Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Will I get treated on my first visit or do I have to come back?
A: You will receive your 1st treatment during your initial visit! We believe in starting care right away! If your condition requires x-rays or other imaging to help us identify the problem, your first treatment will begin after we receive the imaging results. This is very rare in our office. So, be prepared to receive your first adjustment at your initial visit!
Q: Do I have to watch videos on what chiropractic is?
A: No, unless you ask us! During your first visit we take the time to explain what chiropractic is, identify your condition, explain the treatment, and how we expect you to respond to the treatment. We encourage you to ask questions! By educating our patients during their first visit, we streamline everything so that there is no need for a second visit just to begin treatment.
Q: Do you have an open-adjusting area or private rooms?
A: We pride ourselves in having private rooms. This allows you to have the privacy and comfort of being one-on-one with the doctor without other patients watching.
Q: Will an assistant provide therapies?
A: No. The doctor will be with you from the moment you walk into the office until you leave. We believe that the doctor should know all the details about your condition from the very first visit. Having an assistant leads to lost information, varied treatment, and sometimes miscommunication. It also eliminates the reiteration of the patient’s complaint- no need to explain what’s going on to the assistant and then again to the doctor. We feel that by being with the patient and providing all the therapies and adjustments, we form stronger relationships with our patients.
Q: Do you accept insurance?
A: Only Traditional Medicare (with or without a Supplemental Plan). We do not accept Medicare Advantage Plans. As of September 2024, we are not accepting any new Medicare patients. We accept cash, credit/debit, and personal checks. You may also be able to use your HSA card. We have decided not to participate with insurance companies because it enables us to run the practice how we see fit. We do not have to hire someone to take care of all the insurance phone calls such as acquiring approvals, submitting treatment plans, dealing with denials, etc. This in turn keeps our costs down which we pass on to you! In most cases, the cost of our average visit is less than a typical co-payment.
